Deanna Fischer, LMT

My name is DeAnna Fischer, LMT. I got started with massage at Aveda Institute of Beauty and Wellness in 2021 after working in the restaurant industry as a cook since 2013. With such a physical job I was in a lot of pain and under a lot of stress constantly. As I walked away from the restaurant industry to try retail, I met a massage therapist who invited me to come in to see them. After I saw him, it felt like he fixed everything, like it came second nature to him. I was so impressed but unfortunately under paid so I wasn’t able to make a habit of massage to keep up with my body’s needs. I finally tried to pick up massage again but I couldn’t find him anymore. I tried going to bigger name massage places but with my little knowledge of massage I never knew what I needed to ask for. I just kept trying people that would push really hard since it felt like it was deep, just to be upset after walking out in more pain. This made me interested in looking at other techniques and modalities. I prioritize educating my clients about what my plan is for client care. After school I worked at Elements massage in Whitefish bay, Radiant Healing in Greendale, and with RPM Bodyworks in Third Ward, who specializes in deep tissue and sports work. I aim to relax and work out the pain with combinations of Swedish, Therapeutic, and Deep Tissue. I also like to look at my clients posture to help decide best course of action. Life gets super stressful sometimes on top of all the bodily stress we collect in our everyday life.
